CCR at the first meeting of IFTRIP

On June 27 and 28, the first meeting was held of the International Forum of Terrorism Risk Insurance Pools (IFTRIP) of which CCR is a member.

Created in 2016, IFTRIP brings together representatives from terrorism compensation systems across the globe. Its objective is to define areas of international cooperation and to exchange experience and best practices regarding the compensation of bodily injury and property damage due to acts of terrorism. Laurent Montador, Directeur Général Adjoint de CCR, a participé, aux côtés du Consorcio de Compensacion de Seguros espagnol, de l’OCDE et du réassureur Swiss Re, à une table ronde intitulée « Comment les partenariats publics-privés peuvent encourager l’atténuation des risques en collaborant avec les autorités publiques ? ».

On this occasion, Bertrand Labilloy, Chief Executive Officer of CCR, spoke of the role played by public reinsurers in public and private partnerships and the added value they could provide in terms of compensation and assessment of uninsurable extreme risks.

On the eve of the meeting, IFTRIP organized a cocktail reception at the British Embassy which was sponsored by CCR.
