On January 13, 2016, CCR signed a charter agreement for the energy efficiency of public and private commercially-owned buildings launched by France's Sustainable Building Plan (Plan Bâtiment Durable) in October 2013. This environmental agreement is aligned with the company's commitment toward corporate social responsibility.

CCR's real estate portfolio, held directly or through its affiliates, comprises 25 buildings located, for the most part, in Paris, 9 of which are office buildings and 16 of which are residential buildings. Total surface area amounts to 96,000 square meters.

Highly attuned to the energy impact of its buildings, CCR strives to ensure that each renovation meets strict environmental certification criteria. In this respect, its head office received the French Green Building renovation label and its former head office at rue de Courcelles in Paris, currently under restructuring, is to receive the British BREEAM label. Furthermore, CCR has invested in several real estate funds in an effort to diversify the type and location of buildings within its portfolio. Its investment selection criteria are guided by energy performance and, to a greater extent, by sustainable development.

Available for signature by all public and private stakeholders, groups or individuals, from the commercial sector seeking to improve the environmental performance of their real estate portfolio, the aim of the charter is to organize and coordinate the environmental renovation of all public and private buildings in France. The charter is an important integral part of the State's Sustainable Building Plan that provides support to the building sector by meeting the objectives of the transition toward energy efficiency.

"We are proud to be associated with this initiative. CCR has already begun renovating its buildings and all its staff are committed to finding ways of using its buildings in the best possible manner thereby limiting energy consumption.", stated Pierre Blayau, Chairman of CCR.

"By becoming the 102nd party to sign the charter agreement for the energy efficiency of commercially-owned buildings, CCR testifies to its commitment to furthering the energy efficiency of its real estate in line with its environmental building renovation initiative.", declared Philippe Pelletier, Chairman of Plan Bâtiment Durable.

CCR is a public-sector reinsurer that serves the public interest by providing cedants operating in France with coverage against natural catastrophes and uninsurable risks. CCR is also a full-service reinsurer operating on international markets in the life, non-life and specialty lines of business.
