Caisse Centrale de Réassurance (CCR): Appointment of Pierre BLAYAU as Company Chairman - Press release

12/18/2014
Press release by the French Ministry for Finance and Public Accounts (Ministère des Finances et des Comptes Publics) of 18 December 2014.
The Board of directors of the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance (CCR) proposed the appointment of Mr. Pierre BLAYAU as Chairman of the Board, to replace Ms. Stéphane PALLEZ. Michel SAPIN shall submit this proposal to the President of France for approval.
At the helm of CCR since July 2011, Ms. Stéphane PALLEZ successfully worked toward the modernization of the Company within the framework of the directives put into place by the State. In particular, she refocused the Company's "core" activities as a public-sector reinsurer and contributed to the preservation of the the French compensation scheme for Natural Disasters. The government thanked her for her commitment to the Company as its head and, moreover, for her contribution to the general interest.
Thanks to his far-reaching experience in managing leading companies, Mr. Pierre BLAYAU is well positioned to continue the modernization of CCR in concert with a new Chief Executive Officer who will soon be selected by the Board of Directors. Mr. BLAYAU was Chairman of the firm of Pont-à-Mousson, of the FNAC, of the Redoute and of Geodis (an affiliate of SNCF), and is presently Chairman of the supervisory board of AREVA.
