Ruling of the Administrative Court of Paris - Press release

By ruling of this date, the Administrative Court of Paris has required the State of France to notify the European Commission, within twelve months, of the natural disaster compensation scheme operated by the Caisse Centrale de Réassurance (CCR) with the guarantee of the State.
In substance, this decision does not call into question neither the natural disaster compensation scheme, nor its operation by CCR, which serves the general interest, and whose legitimacy was reiterated by the Constitutional Council in its decision of September 27, 2013. The agreement entered into between the State and CCR relative to the State's guarantee is already the subject of exchanges with the European Commission for the purposes of its notification.
