Our Prix CCR Cat Nat rewarded a Elif Oral's doctoral thesis "Multi-dimensional modeling of seismic wave propagationin linear and nonlinear media".

Elif Oral is a 2012 graduate civil engineer from Middle East Technical University (METU), Ankara, Turkey.

She previously received a master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris, then a doctorate in 2016 financed by the French institute for radiological protection and reactor safety (IRSN) and the institute of science and technology for transport, development and networks (IFSTTAR) at the University of Paris East.

Since the start of 2017, she has pursued her research at the Ecole Centrale de Paris (Centrale Supélec) as a post-doc. In this same year, she was chosen to win the CCR Outstanding Thesis Award for her thesis "Multidimensional modeling of seismic wave propagation in linear and non-linear environments".
