Antoine Quantin, Chief Underwriting Officer - Public Reinsurance and Guaranty Funds, CCR

With a diploma from the National Institute of Agronomics Paris-Grignon (Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon) and a Master of Advanced Studies in statistics and stochastic modeling, Antoine QUANTIN is a member of the French Institute of Actuaries who began his career at Groupama modeling climate risks.

After working for a software editor, he joined CCR in 2004 to develop natural disaster risk models.

Until September 2015, he was Head of Technical Studies at CCR tasked with modeling, actuarial operations, relations with scientific partners and CCR client services.

Since September 2015, he has held the position of Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer of the Public Funds and Reinsurance Department and member of the CCR Executive Committee.

The Public Funds and Reinsurance Department is responsible for all of CCR's State-guaranteed activities:

  • the reinsurance of extreme risks, in particular natural disasters, terrorism risks and exceptional risks linked to a shipment,
  • the management of public funds, in particular the Major Natural Risk Prevention Fund (Fonds de prévention des risques naturels majeurs) and the National Guaranty Fund for Agricultural Disasters (Fonds National de Gestion des Risques en Agriculture),
  • the enhancement of our knowledge of risks.
