Gilles LECLERC, Journalist and Conference Moderator

Gilles LECLERC, presently the owner and chairman of an advisory service company, is familiar to media and the business world. With a marked interest in the audiovisuals, he has spent his entire career in radio and television. After studying law and communication, he joined Radio Monte Carlo in 1973 as a young reporter and he later became economics journalist and then political journalist. He was recruited by RTL Radio in 1980 as a specialist in economics and politics. Appointed deputy editor-in-chief, he was newscaster for the radio station located at rue Bayard in Paris and participated in the creation of the talk show "Grand jury RTL-Le Monde".

In 1987, he joined the French public television station Antenne 2 as head of the political news department. He appeared regularly on the air and also anchored the news as an "extra".

In 1993, he became editor-in-chief of the television station France 3 and headed the political and economic news departments. Later appointed deputy director of the national newsroom, he also hosted a show that became a milestone: "France Europe Express".

In 2004, Gilles LECLERC went back to work for France 2 as head of the channel's political, economic and European news departments. In particular within this period, he hosted the program "Questions Ouvertes". As a freelancer, he works for Radio Classique, a classical music radio station and Public-Sénat, a political news radio station. He was appointed chairman of the latter station which he directed for six years, or two terms of office.

Today, backed by years of solid experience, Gilles LECLERC puts his skills to use notably for businesses and students. His far-reaching know-how covers several fields: journalism, consultancy services, knowledge of media, media training, and the hosting of conferences and round tables.
