Kenji FUJIKI, winner of the 2018 CCR Outstanding Thesis Award

A geographer by training, Kenji Fujiki defended his doctoral thesis in December 2017,at the University of Lyon under the direction of Professor Michel Mietton. The basis of his research was a prospective study of the societal impacts of a major flood in the Ile-de-France region. Mr. Fujiki’s research benefited from the support of France’s Euridice research program which focuses on major-event risk and crisis management. It was also conducted jointly with partners from the Ile-de-France region specializing in risk and crisis management, in particular, the Paris Prefecture of Police and the Public Institution for Water Basin Management; Seine Reservoir Lakes (EPTB Seine Grands Lacs).
