The CCR Group has signed the PRI Principles for Responsible Investment of the United Nations

The CCR Group joins 365 French signatories as part of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) as defined and supported by the United Nations.

As a reinsurer providing cover for natural disasters, CCR has been integrating extra-financial criteria relating to environmental impact, societal matters, and issuer governance into its investments for several years. Joining the PRI goes hand in hand with the commitment of CCR and CCR Re to responsible and sustainable finance.

Bertrand Labilloy, Chief Executive Officer of CCR and Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of CCR Re, stated that “joining the PRI is a natural choice for CCR, which is exposed to the consequences of climate change, and corresponds to the reorientation of our investment policy which has been underway for several years.”

07/03/2023 CCR, CCR Re et le consortium formé par les groupes SMABTP et MACSF, ont annoncé ce jour la finalisation de l’acquisition de la majorité du capital de CCR Re par le consortium.

CCR enters exclusive negotiations with the consortium made up of SMABTP and MACSF with a view to ceding control of CCR RE and increasing its capital by €200 million.

07/03/2023 With exclusive negotiations with CCR beginning on 8th February of this year, the consortium made up by the SMABTP group and the MACSF group today acquired the majority shareholding of the second main French reinsurer, CCR RE, following relevant approvals being granted by the regulatory bodies. This represents a strategic diversification project for the two mutual insurance groups while reinsurance offers a strong development potential.
