Seven years after the Aquila earthquake, the ground shook once again in the center of Italy.
An earthquake of a magnitude of 6.0 struck the Apennines mountain region on August 24, 2016 at 3:36 am.

Jérémy DESARTHE and Pierre TINARD from the R&D / Modeling team report on the event and its consequences and establish a comparison between seismic exposure in France and in Italy.
