Martine Veysseire Area Engineer in charge of Meteorological Activities - Météo France

02/18/2016

Since 2003, Martine Veysseire has worked in the Engineering and Consulting Office within the Production Division of Météo-France. She is charged with the development and/or coordination of statistical analyses as well as project management.

Martine Veysseire contributed to the Engineering Office's development and delivery of climate scenarios used in statistical studies on the impact to the energy sector profile and, in particular, in 2008, produced groundbreaking climate simulations (climate scenarios covering a broad period) on a present-day constant climate basis [similar to the research work used to produce simulations in the framework of studies conducted by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)]. Between 2010 and 2011, Ms. Veysseire was Project Manager responsible for Météo-France's participation in the European project SAFER in the area of flash floods. From 2012 to 2014, she participated in the preparation and implementation of a stationary climate simulation on a present-day basis for energy operators, then worked on the assessment of the data base and the development of studies for RTE, the public electricity distribution network in France.
